Background:    
The Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance was created in the fall of 2005 by the Arts and
Culture Committee of the Chamber of Commerce.  The Alliance is a separate 501(c)3 non-
profit organization formed to continue and expand upon the work of the Committee.  As a
separate non-profit organization we are able to secure grants and undertake more projects
than were possible under the Chamber’s umbrella.  We’re very excited about the possibilities!  

Mission:    
The Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance is dedicated to promoting and establishing the
Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Written Arts, Cultural Arts, and Education for the Arts in the
Greater Coeur d’Alene Area, while providing valuable networking opportunities for those
involved and seeking to be involved in the arts.    

Mission Statement:    
The Coeur d’Alene Arts and Culture Alliance promotes and educates alliance members, the
community, and visitors to the area about the arts and cultural activities available in our
community and assists artists and arts entities to be successful.    We will accomplish this by:

  • Creating community art events and other opportunities for the arts to be showcased in
    the Coeur d’Alene Area.
  • Coordinating efforts to market the arts to members of the community and to visitors.
  • Providing opportunities to network with others in the arts community.
  • Assisting arts non-profits by supporting and educating them about resources valuable to
    the success of their organizations.
  • Providing and supporting art education opportunities for those seeking to advance their
    skills in the arts.
  • Acting as a networking and educational resource for individual artists.
  • Collecting and supplying accurate arts information to the media and the interested
    community.

Membership:
We offer inexpensive memberships to encourage local art organizations and businesses to
come together and help strengthen our local community.  Memberships are available to
