The event is a fun and easy way for organizations to raise money while also gaining some exposure to those who attend. It is organized by the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance and is a benefit for arts non-profit groups who choose to participate. The ticketed event is held on the Coeur d'Alene Chamber Patio and includes a BBQ-style dinner, live blues music and local, no- host brews. During the event, a silent auction takes place, featuring "arts buckets" that are decorated and filled by participating organizations. Throughout the event, raffle tickets are sold for a "Best of the Arts" bucket which is given away at the end of the night. Last year, about 375 people came, almost reaching our 400 person capacity! 14 non-profits participated in 2008. Who can benefit from the event? There are two criteria that your group must meet in order to benefit from this event: 1) You must be a 501(c)3 organization whose main focus is in the arts. 2) You must be a current member of the Cd'A Arts and Culture Alliance. (if you are unsure about this, just ask! Memberships are very affordable and help us put on wonderful events like Buckets, Blues and Brews!) How does it work? Arts non-profit organizations who wish to participate can do so by:
You keep 1/2 of the auction proceeds
Why Should We Participate? Buckets, Blues and Brews is a fun, easy way to raise money for your organization. The Arts and Culture Alliance takes care of planning the event, so all you have to do is find people to attend! Start spreading the word now and make sure that people understand that this is a fundraiser for YOU! This is also a great way to help get your name into the public and reach an active part of our community who is passionate about the arts! Sounds good! Now What? Since we're still in the beginning stages of planning the event, we simply need to know whether or not your organization would like to participate and, if so, in what capacity. Keep in mind that this a benefit for local arts non-profits and the more you're willing to participate, the more you'll get out of it! |
